YouTuber Vegetashonor shows how to do it in the video above. Basically, you have to insert the knife under the edge of the cork and twist it outwards. Do that all around the edge to loosen the cork. Then, holding the knife under the cork, bang it against a hard surface.

He uses a countertop in the video, but if you have that around, it's already easy to open a beer bottle with a countertop, among other things.
