As you Emote, you will have to Double Click on the Shift Key. So there is a specific point in the emote where you will have to click on the Shift Key. For the Laugh Emote, you will have to double click on Shift when the Character has pulled its head backward. Usually, after the Double Shift you will have glitched through but if you are stuck then try pressing the S + Space Keys to unstuck yourself.
